Gerry Rafferty and Stealers Wheel - The Best Of

Rafferty e Egan se conheceram ainda adolescentes em Paisley e se tornaram o coração do Stealers Wheel. No início dos anos 70 a banda foi considerada a versão britânica da super banda de Folk/Rock Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Alguns integrantes foram sunstituídos quando a banda assinouo com a A&M Records. O primeiro álbum, Stealers Wheel, foi produzido pelos influentes compositores e produtores americano Leiber & Stoller. O álbum foi um sucesso de crítica e público, atingindo o número 50 na parada americana com o single "Stuck in the Middle".
