Slade - Box Set (2006)

O Slade é uma banda do Reino Unido. É formada pelo quarteto Noddy Holder (vocals, guitar), Dave Hill (guitar), Jimmy Lea (bass) e Don Powell (drums) marcaram a história do rock a partir de 1966, quando lançaram o single You better Run produzido por Kim Fowley.
Os anos seguinte não trariam nenhuma novidade para os músicos. O cenário não dava espaço para novas bandas com o tipo de som que o Slade fazia e com o visual que tinham seus integrantes.
Com a entrada da década de 70, o Slade viu no chamado glam rock uma boa oportunidade de aparecer. A banda fez fotos promocionais no visual da época e lançou o single do cover Get Down And Get With It, que chegou ao Top 20 em 1972.
Os músicos se empolgaram e Jim Lea e Noddy Holder começaram a investir em composições próprias. ”Cuz I Love You” chegou ao número 1 das paradas. Até a presente data o Slade já havia lançado quatro discos: Ambrose Slade Beginnings (69), Play It Loud (70), Alive! (72), Slayed?(72).
